Bush Clearing by postapocalypsia Bush Clearing by postapocalypsia
This was inspired by a walk I took through some bushland on Peel Island in Moreton Bay. The island was once a leper colony but is now uninhabited national park. Some friends and I camped there with our sea kayaks. Beautiful quiet unspoiled bushland, probably less than 40km from the capitol city (Brisbane). How could I not paint it!

It's not easy to paint when there are very low key colors in the painting. You have done well!

Thank you - I was very inspired by the place, and so took great pains to capture my memory of the light.

After reading the description, I know why it feels like I am looking through the eyes of some wanderer, excellent work.

There's something special about exploring places that show no sign of recent human interference - glad you like it :)
