I did this a few years ago and was fortunate enough to have it published in Spectrum 12. The title "Flight of the Homo Digitalis" relates to the "hand made" and "hands on" aspects of our society becoming less and less, like the extinction of an animal. So much for lightheartedness!
Later, I decided to incorporate him into a story idea of mine - which then turned into a painting "Jeb Takes a Ride". I'm sure he has other places to go yet!

Daily Deviation

Given 2008-05-20
Flight of the Homo Digitalis by ~postapocalypsia aims to represent our manual ability as an endangered species. Certainly his ability is not going to waste on this finely crafted piece which anatomical distortions seem to fit effortlessly into place.
