This is from 2 ideas of mine that I am slowly turning into a story. I had sculpted the "handisaurus" a few years ago and then saw an opportunity to slot it into a narrative. This painting is a concept to help me crystalize my thinking... Acrylic on board 500mm x 800mm

I find a bit of a story helps with creating a picture for which there is no reference but it can be dangerous,two of my character stories escaped and became a book that is still writing me. Now I have two books full of interesting art possibilities. A character illistration does help quite a bit in writing a story.
Interesting characters, when do we see the story?

I'm afraid the story has been somewhat buried under an avalanche of day to day life. One day I will wake up and it will be the priority of the day...

Boy, do I know that one. Writing a story is fun, even as the author you don't know exactly what is going to happen, the story often seems to take on a life of its own.
Your characters are interesting at least.

this is beautiful. the handasaurus reminds me of the game called oddworld(its a great game). the enemies in that game have hands for heads but thats all...
its a great character, you should be proud of creating it ;)
i also have a character in my mind which i think is going to be great. im not telling you though. X)
i just have to put him down on paper.
