Rivercamp by postapocalypsia Rivercamp by postapocalypsia
This was done from a canoe tied up to a submerged log in the river. I painted what I could before the light changed and then tweaked it when I got home.

This river camp is irresistibly attractive! First, you notice the smoke, then the fire. But where is the human presence?

Wonderful. You've captured the serenity of a quiet river and the pleasure of a comfortable place to camp. I love the movement of light and shade.

It almost feel like I'm sitting there and watching this wonderful scene in real life. You've done a great job on the reflections in the water and I love how the shadowy part to the right balances up everything so beautifully.

Please continue to paint and be creative!

The river was actually quite low (no rain) so it was sluggish and reflected very well - thanks :)

Thanks! Yes the pressure of things can be like a constant noise. Pursuing peacefulness through painting is great therapy! :)
